The jointed, domed, rectangular plinth, decorated with foliage and shell motifs, stands on four feet with rounded ends. A jointed column springs on each side, ending in female heads shaped of foliage. The round dial with Roman numerals and a starry pendulum is placed between the columns. There is a flower garland below and a repousse, rampant lion on the top.
