The egg-shaped body ends in a short neck and a broad, splaying top rim. The shoulder is emphasized by three relief knobs. The vase is covered with a thick, matte, stained coulee glaze - ochre and brown stains at the top rim and indented cherry-red, as well as scarlike, dark grey metallic stains on the body.
