This plate was designed for holding jewellery or visit cards. Its shape is given by the body of a coiling cobra. The centre of the dish is the end of its tail, its body scrolling outwards, slightly higher on the rim. It ends in a naturally shaped, threatening snake head, just about to open its cowl. The scales of the snake- skin are painted with green and yellow matte, protruding glaze drops. The foot is covered with dark violet-crimson eozin glaze. In the Zsolnay Facon book there are remarks beside similar snake-shape variations, from No. 5993 on all pages «Sikorski úr tervei» (designs by Mr. Sikorski).
