The light sketch of a fantasy lamp shows definite eclectic characteristics. The slightly conical foot with a wavy rim supports a richly ornamented stem ending in a simple cylindrical cup, enframed by richly coiling S and C motifs, connected with loose chains. This complicated element is surmounted by a winged putto head. There is another, asymmetrically bent part over the cup, holding an irregular ball with a long, tube-like neck springing from it. An antique-style lamp is hung over the top, on a short stem. A salamander rests on the top of the neck, hanging down his tail on the other side as a “pendant” for the lamp stem.
