The four drawings in black ink are composed from the varied combinations of bug and flower motifs. Their common characteristic is the simple, clear, linear drawing and mirror symmetry. On the reverse of one there is an inscription “Stuttgart 1910” in the artist's handwriting, which proves that these sketches were made on an official trip to Germany.
