The upturned pear-shaped body stands on a circular ring foot it has a narrow, rod handle, a ringed spout and a splaying, spouted top rim. The middle of the body is decorated with glass threads rolled on in a spiral. The whole surface of the jug is iridescent. The shape follows the sixteenth century Italian majolica pharmacy dishes.
