The cylindrical bowl is splayed like a cornet at the top it is supported by a short foot, which is decorated with a gilt, horizontal line. The surface of the cup shows chinoiserie motifs: a Chinese figure standing under a tree in a garden, holding a rod, with a flying dragon above him and a scenery with rocks, sedge, a pagoda and flying birds on the other side. The bottom and the top rim of the bowl show a lattice-work decoration of symmetrical stars, between two framing lines. The whole surface of the inside is gilt some stripes below the rim are left black, showing flowery boughs.
