The handle of the cylindrical cup is rectangular the plain rim of the saucer is rising. The outside and the inside of the saucer is covered with a blueish-gray field, imitating mosaic. The side of the cup shows two oval fields, with doves drink-ing in one and sacrificial vessels in the other. There is a butterfly with spread wings in the centre of the saucer, placed in a round field. The pictures and the rims are lined with golden black and blue lines, as well as red and white lines of beads.
Both pieces are equipped with escutcheon marks, painted in blue under glaze, and impressed maker's marks: 4,47 on the cup and 804, 51,4 on the saucer.
The porcelain "adaptations" of the mosaic pictures of the Harianus palace in Tivoli were first used by the Berlin porcelain factory in 1802 the Viennese factory takes over the series in 1804.
