The top, straight edge of the lace shows the inscription SZT. ISTVÁN. Below, the symmetrical pattern is repeated twice: a cross of metal thread among curved leaves, its horizontal stem surmounted by coiling stems that end in rose buds. Above the cross, the Holy Spirit is pictured in the shape of a dove. It was probably designed for the trimming of an altar cloth however, we have no further information supporting this supposition.
