These border tiles show a continuous pattern of intertwined blackberry tendrils. There is a bough with berries springing upwards from two larger leaves, while downwards two boughs with berries and a leafed one enclose the coiling stems. The relief effect of the naturalistic pattern is emphasised by the shaded two-layer glaze. The light yellow tile is covered with transparent, honey-colour glaze, slightly thicker thus darker in the cracks. The piece described above is one of the relief tiles made between 1860 and 1910 in the Minton manufacture.
