The square surface is decorated with symmetrically arranged ornament: a three-headed pink motif in the centre, flanked by an inwardly bent pink stem on both sides. The whole surface is filled with the plane, contoured decoration. The base is golden yellow, the leaves are golden green, the flower heads are red. The thin contours were provided with a special protection coating before acid-etching. In Décor book 4. of the Zsolnay factory, new stylistic trends appear from No. 2426. Nos. 2558, 2560 and 2571 were probably made by the same artist (no date or signature), and all of them show a clear influence of William de Morgan's works.
