The chest stands on four cabriole legs the two front ones are applied with bronze decoration. The prismatic body contains five drawers in three rows, with inlaid strap work on the panels. The corners of the commode are rounded the bottom of its bowed middle part is decorated with lambrequin motifs, mounted with bronze leaves. The commode has three keyhole shields and six rounded, wreath-shaped drawer pulls of bronze. It is marked on the right side of the back, under the marble top, with 4 mm letters: JME E LEVASSEUR.
