The top is curved there are 14 long teeth below. The top is decorated with pierced carving below the curve: an engraved double-headed eagle in the middle with a crown and the Hungarian coat of arms. The date 1832 appears among the branches and flowers stemming from the middle ornament, with an inscription below: "Gesellen Stuck des Joseph Kowatsch". The comb is a masterwork, which, according to contemporary rules of the guilds, must have been presented to the leadership of the guild, when its maker applied for the title of master.
