The pear-shaped body stands on a gilt, round, joited and curved foot it has a tipped lip and a handle forming a question mark. Each side is decorated with a relief vine and cluster of grapes. The rim and the lip are lined with gilt decoration. Its domed cover is fitted with an inner rim it is decorated with relief vine foliage, a small gilt finial and a gilt rim. Marked on the bottom in lustre: AR EE ac. its technique of manufacture ranges the pot among the "Böttger-dishes", together with the cup and saucer of identical decoration (IM ltsz.: 5873.a-b.). The outlines of the relief decoration are quite marked the elaborate pattern is not distorted at all by the covering glaze. The shape of the handle enhances the playful silhouette, compensated by a long, squeezed lip on the other side. The bright white colour of the piece is emphasized by the golden lining around the rim of the pot and the cover.
