Clock

The prismatic plinth is supported by five feet of pyramidal shape. The front is carved, with relief applications, and a mirror panel in the middle the sides are carved. There are four splayed columns of palmettes and spike leaves on the plinth, holding a rectangular, carved plate with a glass insert at the front. The richly decorated, gilt wooden case, enframing the round dial is placed on top of the plate. The case is carved with clusters of grapes, and with an eagle with spread wings, sitting on a ball at the top, carved in relief. On the left is a female figure in loose and plaited dress, holding a bird towards the eagle while on the right two putti climb up a tree-trunk. The upper putto figure holds a hammer and a chisel in its hands. The dial has three arms, Roman numerals, Arabic numerals for the minutes, with the inscription Joh.Mich: Szabo Presburg(sic!). It strikes on every quarter of the hour.
