The chair stands on two prismatic, tapering legs at the front and two curved, cylindrical ones at the back. They are joined by thin stretchers on the sides and in the middle. The trapezoid seat is upholstered in green silk, decorated with fraise flowers of five petals on leaved tendrils. The rounded, pierced back support is joined by five, vertically fluted, thin laths. This chair, together with a companion armchair, was exhibited at Siegfried Bing's permanent exhibition in Rue de Provence, as well as at the 1898 show of the Paris Salon.
