The front legs are carved with double lines of scale-work the back legs are plain. They are joined by plain stretchers on the two sides and at the back. The front stretchers are cartouches decorated with volutes and scrolled foliage, and with oval carving that imitates a precious stone ("cabochon"). The upper and lower cartouches of the front are cut off, the middle one is complete. The pierced back support has the same decoration. The top parts of the stiles are acanthus leaves. A similar piece can be found in the Museo Nazionale in Florence.
