The small candleholder has a bizarre, humorous shape, one of the typical examples of the popular «Eastern» trend of fashion at the turn of the century. It depicts a naked male figure, crouched, with arms stretched and with pursed lips. The shell around his neck forms the base of the detachable candle or socket holder which he holds in his hands.
