An egg-shaped stem springs from the centre of a flat plate that is supported by a round, jointed foot. The stem holds the broad-rimmed candle socket. It is decorated with contoured arabesques among leaf pairs, in blue, black, green, red and yellow colours. The object recalls the elements of sixteenth century Venetian dishes.
