Candlestick

The round foot is chased with a garland surmounted by palmettes over a punched base. The node is spindle-shaped, decorated with a string of pearls at the top and bottom the splayed stem is fluted enriched with cast and engraved geometrical motifs at the top. The detachable middle part with two arms has a cast ornamental vase at the top. The two S-shaped arms spring from a cast disc of rosette they are plain up to the middle and punched with leaves from the middle to the top. The middles of the arms are soldered with flowers. The candle sockets are form repousse flower motifs, enriched with spiky leaves at the bottom and a string of pearls at the top rim. The middle of the sockets is plain.

Marked with town and maker's mark, impressed on the foot rim and on the arm.

Earlier, this piece was attributed to Imre Lubisics Ilona P. Brestyánszky, on the other hand, attributes it to József Lechner.
