Cabinet with four doors

The cupboard with horizontal corniches stands on four short square legs. It has peculiar lattice-work details. It is divided vertically into two levels. The two sides are flanked by a pilaster with inlaid lines, ending in intarsia heads composed of simple, stylised leaves. The bottom part has two plain doors the two upper doors and the sides are pierced with square-shaped fields of lattice work, topped by a lattice of egg and dart. The domed, wooden keyhole shields are partly embedded.

The book case was probably designed for storing charters it is a rare and singular piece both in function and structure. The lattice and inlaid decoration differs from the usual types of Central Hungary. The cupboard was one inherited, amongst old furniture from the family of the previous owner's father the members of the Komoróczy family belonged to the nobility of Szatmár County in the first half of the 19th century.
