The large, pouched bowl with a narrow neck and a stopper stands on a plain round foot with a serrated edge. The body has eight sides the shoulders are olivine faceted, the neck is pared. The sides of the body show alternating decoration of lattice-work motifs and baskets of fl owners. Mrs. Tasnadi, who listed the object in the inventory, supposed it was made in Germany in the thirties or forties of the 18th century. After a closer examination of an analogous piece, our view is that it is a Bohemian piece, designed by Ignaz Preissler.
