Paper plates, bound in white parchment. The surface is framed with a line and a double line of beads, with an oval rosette in each corner. The middle of the surface is enclosed with a line of palmettes it shows an oval application of red leather, pressed with blind stamped leaf motifs, showing IHS initials. The decoration of the back plate is identical with the front one, showing Mary's initials in the middle application. The saddle is framed with blind-stamping at the top and bottom, decorated with bird, shell and rosette motifs. The endpapers are patterned with black and white flower motifs against a yellow base gilt engravings and a headband of white parchment. The cover plate shows the punched engraving of Janos Samuel Czetter (1770-after 1829): Jesus giving the key which represents the Church to Peter. According to recent research the engraving was made by Czetter, while the fonts were selected on the basis of Samuel Falka's drawings. The copper engraving of the cover plate shows the allegory of religion, marked: Sam. Czetter Hungarus Oroshaziensis ex Comitatu Bekesiensi del [inearit] e sculpsit. 1805. There are four copper engraving bound into the book: The Holy Trinity, marked S. Czetter sculps, Vienna. The Immaculate Conception, marked: S. Czetter sculps. Vienna. Istvan (first King of Hungary) offers his country to God, marked: Czetter Sc.
