Both panels of the renaissance binding are decorated in the same way. It is framed with three different rolls, two of them have scroll and floral decoration, the .third has a figural ornamentation. There is a trapezoidal plate decoration of a winding pattern of bands, and beside it, in the corners, are punched flowers. The spine of five ribs is decorated only with the narrow braided pattern pressed on the stems of the spine. The headband is made of white cotton thread. The tool is blue. The composition of the title page follows that of the so called "Biblia Clementina", published in Rome, in 1592, which was the Vulgate-edition that had been declared official by the Council of Trent. On the two sides of the heading there are the figures of Moses and David, with two evangelists below each of them. A later addition of a "Patrona Hungariae" representation is above them, with Hungarian saints on the two sides. This addition is to assert visually the tendency of Hungarian Bible translations.
