The scrolled foliage forms a system of netting lines of stylized pomegranates and stiff leaves alternate in the middle of each keel-shaped field. The border of the bedcover is made of several pieces of quilt velvet sewn together. The companion piece in the collection of the Budapest Museum of Applied Arts (Inv.No.52.2798) must have been a bed hanging. They can be identified with the following objects of the 1725 Inventory (note that in historic sources the coverlet was called "blanket"): "a violet velvet blanket with gold threads in the middle" "an old blanket of violet velvet with golden threads" (Inventarium Thesauri Fraknensis Anno 1725. Almarium Sub.Nris. 75 et 76. Nro.4.12 - Archives 236/1957).
