The three jointed, outwardly bending feet end in animal heads. They support the baluster-shaped stem that holds the oval case, upon which the folding, four-lobed top with a string-of-pearl border rests. The centre of the surface shows an indented shell, while the border is decorated with engraved and repousse shell and foliate motifs with flowers and four, high lozenges against a punched base.
