The ochre, jointed, prismatic plinth supports the case, which is also prismatic, flanked by two ormolu columns on the sides. There is an applied rosette at the top. The round dial shows Roman numerals, with a cast, leaved decoration in the centre. It is a representative of the eclectic style of the late 19th century, collecting the characteristics of several earlier stylistic trends.
