Each chair stands on four prismatic, slightly splayed legs the front ones rest on gilt balls, the back ones are slightly bowed. The vertical arm- supports are placed on the seat-rail, joining the arm-rests in volute motifs. The sides of the arm-rests are decorated with carved and gilt rosettes. The back legs are continued in the vertical frame of the back support its curved top is decorated with rosettes and a landscape in a round field, painted in ink. The middle pierced carving of the horizontal frame shows a Mercury column.
