The chair stands on four cabriole legs the seat is curved on the sides and has a padded serpentine seat. The curved arm rests lie on curved supports the top of the lyre-shaped back has a carved and pierced shell decoration.
Well-known at that time, the Schoolbred company was active from about 1870. Among his designers we can find O.W. Davies and H.W. Batley. The company was known first of all for its ancient style pieces of furniture.
