The paper plates are covered with blue parchment. The surface is framed by gilt spindle and spot motifs, surrounding a moulded, bright pink paper application, which has an oval slot in the middle. A coloured engraving is glued into the slot, showing a sitting female figure with a pea-cock and a lily and another on the back with a dove and a lamb. The saddle is divided into five fields by gilt lines and spots, with a gilt flower in each. The inner surface of the front plate has a glass mirror, stuck into a frame of gold paper, the endpapers are of pink coated paper, with gilt etchings, the front plate shows a coloured engraving of Clemens Kohl (1741-1807), following the painting of Angelika Kauffmann (1741-1807): Flora, painting flowers. Marked: Angelika Kauffmann del., CI.Kohl Sc. Six coloured etchings of fashion pictures are bound before the calendar, while the months are decorated with coloured etchings of Clemens Kohl, modelled on the pictures of Ludwig Maillard (?-1806). The latter are marked: Lud. Mailard del. [inearit], CI. Kohl Sc[ulpsit]. The case of the calendar is made of paper, with a detachable top. It is covered with blue parchment, gilt with meander motifs, with a curved leaf and rosette in the comers. The gilt saddle is divided into six fields. Lined with paper of berry and flower pattern, moulded with green and red.
