The middle field is decorated with two lozenge-shaped wreaths of daisies in the corners are serrated leaves and stylized rosettes. Long, star-shaped medallions, with rosettes in hexagonal forms, line the border. These carpets could be found in Transylvania in great number, for this was the main route for the carpet trade at that time - hence the name Transylvanian.
