Beer jug with pewter lid

The barrel-shaped bowl bears an inscription on the bottom part: WER.AVS.MIR.TRINCKTZU IDER ZEIT. DEM GESEGENE.ES DIE HELIGE DREYFALTIGKEIT. There is a painted floral foliage band under the pearl rim. The middle band shows a coat of arms on the front side, probably that of a butcher: an azure Baroque shield, charged with two grey halberds, their yellow handles crossed. The base shows a grey knife with a yellow handle. The chief bears probably another yellow butchers' tool (?). To the left and to the right are the portraits of Hans Battner, a butcher, and his wife and children. Their names appear above their heads. Dated 1630 under the handle.
