A narrow light-blue band adorned with festoons of golden flowers and leaves borders the leaf, which has a silver ground. In the middle of the leaf, in an anvil-shaped field, is a garden scene: a young man with his sweetheart dallying in his lap. On both sides of the field there are chinoiserie scenes in a landscape with palm trees. Around the depictions are garlands of roses. On the verso is a lonely island. On the turquoise sticks are a female figure holding a garland of flowers and a male figure holding a birdcage. On the upper part of each guard-stick a dancing (?) boy can be seen at the very bottom is tortoiseshell appliqué work.
