The sketch shows the frontal and side view of an armchair, made of bluish grey varnished oak. The four prismatic, slightly splaying legs are joined by horizontal stretchers. The square seat is upholstered in leather. The horizontal arm supports join the front legs; the back ones are continued in the back support. The narrower bottom and the wider top part of the back are joined by seven, densely arranged rods in the middle. The structure of the armchair is simple, obvious. The decoration is reserved: rhythmic, repeated carvings on the front legs that also appear on the back support.
