On the uncoloured leaf, which is framed by small leaves, there are, in two separate fields hung with drapery, a girl holding a festoon of flowers and a young man holding out a basket of flowers to her. Between the two fields—down the middle axis of the leaf and beyond the fields to the left and right—the leaf is divided perpendicularly by wavy, criss-crossing lines of spangles flanking flowers sewn from silk thread. The sticks are embellished with pierced, wavy lines and love-symbols. This is a fan of modest workmanship.
