In the oval medallion in the middle of the uncoloured leaf can be seen a couple dallying in a garden a lady holding a garland of roses is about to surprise them. A strip pink on one side and green on the other divided horizontally by a zigzag line proceeds from either side of this middle field, dividing the leaf into an upper and lower part. In the upper section, in a round field on either side of the middle field, is a coloured bouquet of flowers on a black ground and in the lower section in an oval field on either side of the middle field there is a fruit still life, one with a wine bottle and the other with a coffee cup, similarly on a black ground. The medallions are loosely framed by a line of spangles and are flanked by a festoon of flowers. On the edges of the leaf there is a strip of blue and pink, and along it cloud motifs. The same cloud motifs can be seen on both sides of the middle scene. The sticks are of two types: those embellished with a spangle pattern and those adorned with pierced and coiling festoons of flowers. The last-mentioned motif is repeated on the guard-sticks, supplemented with an altar to love. The verso is unembellished.
