The narrow rim of the round foot is decorated with rhythmically repeated blue enamel patterns. The stem is a relief-shaped bunch of reed, combined with stork figures standing beside. The birds, standing close to each other, bend their beaks down and pull their wings up, supporting the suddenly bulging vase. The slightly flat surface of the vase is decorated with motifs resembling butterflies with spread wings. The colouring of the reed and the stalks are naturalistic. The blue enamel on the top rim repeats the blue patches of the foot and the butterfly wings. Next to the detailed design, there are the variations of the body, and also sketches of certain ornamentation details.
