The cupboards on the sketch are two variants of the same type, without the excessive characteristics of Art Nouveau. The structure emphasizes the function of the cupboard, with a great number of shelves and doors. The frontal view is completed with the designer's remarks on production. He suggested oak as the main material, with small ebony inlays, decorated with blue-painted copper mounts. Horti wanted and managed to exhibit the cupboards at the 1900 Christmas exhibition; today, one of the cupboards is in the collection of the Budapest Museum of Applied Arts, also exhibited in the present exhibition (see Cat. No. 9.3).
